Before the highly anticipated release of the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), I wanted make the theater going experience extra special for the fans. On my own time and with zero budget, I put created several posters in Adobe Illustrator to hang at the entrance to the movie theater I worked at in a little under two weeks. I also created two space ship-like set pieces out of some old electronics the theater had in storage.
The posters and set pieces hung in the theater from the release of the film on Dec. 20 to the second week of January, accompanied by themed music I selected. Fans enjoyed the "Wanted" posters especially, often posing for pictures with them. Someone also stole the Poe Dameron poster, which I'll take as a compliment. I'm sure Oscar Isaac is only partially responsible.
