Before the highly anticipated release of the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), the final film in the new Star Wars trilogy. I wanted make the theater going experience extra special for the fans and got the green light from the General Manager of the theater. I only had two weeks, but I wanted to create and environment mirroring that of a space station run by the evil first order. Two mandates were to insure that recognizable characters were present and to have the theaters rules present on signage as well.
The posters and set pieces hung in the theater from the release of the film on Dec. 20 to the second week of January, accompanied by themed music I selected. Fans enjoyed the "Wanted" posters especially, with many guests posing for pictures, stopping to read, and some even asking if they could take them home! I am most proud of my proactiveness in creating and taking on this project, the joy it was able to bring to guests, and the experience I gained working on a larger scale project.
