As part of an internship with Patriot Pictures, I was tasked with drafting a potential poster for their upcoming film God is a Bullet. God is a Bullet is about an ex-cop whose daughter is kidnapped by a satanic cult. His only hope to get her back is to join forces with an ex-cult member and take the group down from the inside.
I was given two weeks to complete this project with no promotional images. In my draft of the poster, I sought to highlight the extremely morbid themes of the script I was given. The "From the director of The Notebook" tag was added as a humorous clash that might pique interest.
After the film poster, I was asked to create an invitation for the eventual premiere of the film. I also tried to echo the dark themes of the script in the invitation. I created a custom font and used an iteration of my poster to aid this goal.
I also made a special collectable ticket that could be given to premiere goers. The ticket being a bullet just seemed like a gimme!
